The curriculum has a central focus of daily literacy and numeracy blocks of one
and a half hours each, with the remaining syllabuses delivered as integrated units
of study, also incorporating literacy and numeracy where possile. Our school also
has the services of a Music, Physical Education and LOTE teacher who visit each
week.
In addition to this formal curriculun our students are also involved in:
- Arts Council Performances
- CSIRO Science demonstrations
- Cluster Sports Days with the other two small school in our area
- School Camps
- And a variety of other school excursions
The distinctive features of our school are:
- A computer lab in which there are seven desktop computers all linked to the internet. In addition our school has five laptops for use by the students.
- A library in which there is found many reference, fiction and non-fiction books which are regularly up-dated.
- A Nature Walk designed by the students to enable visitors to our school to be able to explore the native bush in a safe and informative manner.
- A sports oval incorporating 800m, 200m, and 100m running tracks, shot put and discus throwing area, a marked ball games area and long jump pits. There is also the provision of football goal posts and a crickert pitch. near by is an area for beach volleyball.
- A tennis court area on which netball and basketball can be played.
- A modern well-designed fitness trail.
- A playground and sandpit area for younger children.
- Beautiful garden that are maintained by the students.
